Greeks Gold age and TEST
Today we start with a test and it was pretty easy because I think I did pretty good on it. The writing part give me a struggle a little bit but it was good. then we had an reading and taking notes assignment about Democracy and Greece's Golden Age on our textbook page 134. We learned about the Statesman named Pericles led Athens during much of it's golden age. He had three goals ; to strengthen Athenian democracy, to hold and strengthen the empire and to glorify Athens. He took over the leadership of Delian league and took money from it's treasury to make Athenian navy and took another for glorifying Athens. The Parthenon was his plan. The Greeks invent 2 types of drama tragedy and comedy. Herodotus book on Persian War is considered the first work of history. Sparta declared war on Athens 431 BC Athens got the L and Pericles died from plague. Athen tried to take down Sparta's allies but did not work.
