1.  a. Hellenistic : As a result of Alexander's policies, a vibrant new culture emerged. Greek culture blended with Egyptian, Persian and Indian influences. That blending known as Hellenistic.
b. Alexandria : Egyptian city, among the many cities of the Hellenistic world this city became the foremost center of commerce and Hellenistic civilization.
c.Euclid: it was a highly regarded mathematician who taught in Alexandria.
d.Archimedes : He is a Hellenistic scientist that studied in Alexandria.
e.Colossus of Rhodes : The largest known Hellenistic statue, created in the island of Rhodes. It was made from bronze and it stood more than 100 feet high
2. Geometry because it helped pretty much every other thing and we still use it today.
3. The trade was from lot of countries so it change its cultural diversity a lot. Many people from other countries so it made different ideas and it is a good thing if you can control it.
4. His geometry propositions and proofs helped Eratosthenes and Aristarchus with calculating the Earth's size.
5.They both believe that the people should live together in peace.

Today in class we finished the video about Philosophy. Which makes me kind of sad because it was the most exiting topic we had covered yet. After we done with the video and taking notes, we have split in to our groups to work on our project about the ancient Greece. We start writing are essays and I have got the materials we are going to use on for doing the map and somebody bought figures that we are going to put on the map and the other 2 start writing our essay for the project. I believe that it will turn out as a good project and we all will get an solid grade.

Today in class we continued doing the Democracy and Greece's Golden Age while the people who were absent on Friday was making up their test. I was past the halfway of 134-141 so It did not take much long for me to finish it. I saw things about : 404 B.C. the Athenians and their allies surrendered and the war cause athenians to question their democratic government and their values. Which lead to occur of the Philosophers. Philosophers are people who are seeking the truth and the lovers of wisdom. They were lot of Philosophers and groups: The Sophists group questioned blief and ideas about justice and other traditional values. Protogoras who questioned Greek Gods. In 399 B.C.
